I was recently asked to share sketches from my art journal. Since beginning an Urban Sketching JanTerm class with my students, where we travel daily and render on-location sketches, I have been able to rekindled my love for art journaling. Whether it is with loose text, observational drawings or a mixture of the two – it has been a treasured time I enjoy with my students as well as in my own quiet times.
Taking on the posting challenge, I will begin to post journal entries in hopes to inspire others to grab a nearby pen or pencil and begin their own quest to fully observe the world around them. (see ‘sketches’ page)
