Visual Equations

Inspired by mathematical formulas, these equations became a play of lines, intersections, shapes and color that I found both captivating in content as well as visually engaging. It was exciting to see them on 60″ x 40″ canvases.

Hyperbola & Ellipse     Dodecahedron     Euler Line

Hyperbola and Ellipse, the hyperbolic path of a comet and the elliptical orbit of a planet – each shown with a corresponding Pascal line.

Dodecahedron, one of the five Platonic solids – polyhedra constructed each solid in such a way that all faces, edges and angles are equivalent.  The dodecahedron is composed of 12 regular pentagons. It reminds us of the molecular and complex yet, beautifully designed matter that crafted by God.

Euler Line, the orthocenter, circumcenter, and centroid division of a non-equilarteral triangle revealing a central line divided into a perfect 2:1 ratio.
